Bethany Cherry is a graduate of Brigham Young University, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and minors in music and TESOL.
Bethany is passionate about her activism and loves the brown and Black folks in her community. She co-founded a grassroots organization that was focused on advocating for the safety of people of color in her city. She grew up in a predominantly white area, and often felt like she did not have a way to express the repression of her Black identity. She enjoys sharing her vision and passion about the important bridge between social justice, self care, and healing justice. One of her goals is to teach yoga and wellness in schools, and to have her own Black-centered holistic education program for youth, adults, and families. In her downtime, Bethany writes poetry and prose as a means of therapy, she also loves meditating and is currently working on her first book. |
