We are so happy to announce that WOCHR has just opened up its own wellness center in Costa Rica! Now, our retreats and future events will all take place on our own property. We think that black land is vital when it comes to re-building and sustaining black communities, so we are elated about this new journey with our very own retreat and wellness garden.
Construction is scheduled to finish Feb 2018 and we will officially open Feb 2018!!
Our wellness garden has lodging for 24 guest, a yoga shala/platform surrounded by the jungle, a natural self-care spa, a tea room, a workshop room, shared community kitchen, a medicinal plant garden with plants like bread fruit, hibiscus , papaya and loads of different medicinal plants in our garden.and so much more. We are also growing our own organic fruits and vegetables and herbs! Our wellness center and garden is also eco-friendly, and we are located in the jungle right by the beach! When most people travel to other countries, it is a rare experience to stay in a space owned by people of color, not only this but our entire team consist of people of color as we are the only international program/center + retreat that is by us, for us through and through giving you a true sanctuary tailored for you.
We are so grateful for this manifestation and we can't wait to have you visit our wellness garden in Costa Rica!
