Anxiety and fear can quickly arise, so here are 10 tips that can help you destress to find your balance during this time.
.Practice yoga at home. You can find yoga classes on GAIA TV . Yoga is imperative during this time because it allows you to get out of your mind and into your body. It also will activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which will aid you in relieving anxiety and distress.
.We never recommend watching television, but this is a rare situation. Try watching documentaries that you can learn from or comedies that uplift your spirit.
.Call your therapist or phone a friend. Don't sit with any feelings alone that you may be having; there's so many others feeling the same as you do.
.Take frequent breaks from social media. The media has never had the best interest of the general public. Don't fill yourself up with everything the news is saying. Create time frames where you intentionally check the news throughout the day; make sure you're not scrolling reading articles about what's happening all day.
.Create a bedtime ritual. Take an extra hot bath or shower, oil your body in essential oils, curl up, and read a book or journal, listen to high vibrational affirmations to reprogram the subconscious mind.
.Set up an altar and have a conversation with your ancestors.
.Cook yourself a nourishing plant-based meal. Did you know that part of the reason why coronavirus has developed is that humans consume too much meat? Begin implementing a more holistic approach to the food you eat. This will also allow you to boost your immune system.
.Create a self-care list. Write down all of the things that allow you to take care of yourself and then do 1-2 of those things each day.
.Book a retreat, soon this will all be over, and you'll need and deserve a break from the United States.
.Try to keep a positive mindset. Remember that in life, things always get better.
